I have this friend. A good friend in fact. He has been there for me many times in my life especially when no one else was. However he has one major flaw. He lies. Now he doesn't lie because he doesn't care....he lies because he does care. He will lie to me because he doesn't want me to be disappointed in him. Or he will lie because he is trying to impress me. If I need help with something, he will be the first to volunteer and say that he will do it. Then days, weeks, or months later he will say that he never told me he would do it. Now I know he is a busy guy and he probably got busy which is fine, but don't say that you never said that you would do it. I really do think that if he says from the begining that he cannot do something he will dissapoint me, which isn't true. In reality though, he dissapoints me by lying to me. I have tried explaining this to him and he just lies even more so that he doesn't feel like a bad person. So do I overlook the lies because his intentions are good? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm??????
Well procrastination has gotten the best of me in the last month. Work has invaded my mind and left me unable to complete anything once I walk out the door everyday. So this weekend I will make a hopefully non-feeble attempt to get myself back on track. I think i should make a list, however too many times after I make one, I find that 3 months has gone buy and only a few things have been done. So a list is out the window. I am probably setting myself up for failure, but whatever. You never know when the mood will strike me to get organized. Anyways, wish me luck!!
The phones wouldn't stop ringing. The work kept stacking up on my desk. I can't think of a single thing that I got accomplished today that I needed too. Voicemails will remain unheard. But I have a smile on my face because life is good. Things that I am thankful for:
1. My client Maria that always sends me the funniest emails to brighten my day
2. My bestfriend Sarah that sends me the greatest comments at the right time
3. My boss Glenn for not calling me on the phone a single time today
4. The pigeons that roost right above my window for not waking me up this morning
5. The $5.00 that was on my desk this morning with a note that said "Thank You" (I have no clue who it was from or why)
6. The City of Henderson Police for not pulling me over for another lame excuse this morning(NOTE: An airfreshener hanging from my rear view mirror is what I consider a lame excuse)
7. The gardeners that blew dirt all over my car this morning because I really did need to wash it anyways
8. Thepioneerwoman.com for giving me something to look at when I just can't work anymore
9. My car company for calling me at 6:00am this morning to thank me for my payment. Without your call I would have been late for a meeting
10. God for always giving me the ability to laugh it off
What did you do for fun when you were a kid? How is it different from what you see kids doing now?

My brother used to play soccer at some fields on the west bank of the river. I loved going down by the water and seeing how many frogs that I could catch. If I didn’t have a container to put them in, I would try and use cups from the concession stand to hold them in until I got home and made a little sanctuary for them. Keeping them would only last a few days because I got bored with new things very easily, and would never finish anything. I would take them to the field across the street so that our dogs wouldn’t eat them.
Well despite how much I tried, I couldn’t get my other blog to function like I wanted it to. Whether it was my lack of knowledge, or lack of patience it just wasn’t working. So I decided to have my go at vox.com and so far so good.
Today is the last day of this three day weekend and it has been so relaxing. So far I have read a couple of books of which the reviews will be coming soon. Continued to learn some French “Comment Ca Va?”, and watched a really great movie 3 times. Yes, the same movie three times. A couple of times before I had tried watching the movie Apocalypto directed by Mel Gibson. For some very odd reason I always fell asleep when the guy started eating the boor nuts. I never thought that a man eating animal’s nut would put me to sleep before, but it did, twice! So I decided to attempt to stay awake one more time, and did I ever. It was such a great movie. That I have watched it with the roomie 3 times this weekend. When I get stuck on a movie that I really like, there is no end to how many times I will watch it. So if you haven’t seen it, go watch it right now, because you will not regret it.
As today is Memorial Day I cannot stop thinking about all of the soldiers that have served this country. Some have survived, and some have not. I think it is a very honorable thing for a person to choose to serve our country in the military. And for those that have died, they all die with honor and courage. I hope everyone has a nice Memorial Day, and please just take some time to pray for the soldiers still serving overseas so that they will make it back home safe and sound.
Just a random frog. I don't think I have any pictures from when I would "try" and keep them as... read more
